Hector Tello

PRESIDENT

Hector Tello graduated from Northeastern Illinois University, and joined Omega Delta’s Zeta Chapter. During his undergraduate career he’s won multiple awards including Member of the year from Omega Delta and Greek of the year from NEIU. Recently, Hector left the corporate world to follow his true passion, education. Hector is currently a Program Manager at Right at School. He is looking forward to growing his career in education. Hector continues to promote the lifestyle of being true to yourself and doing what you love.


Salvador Davalos

INTERNAL VICE president

Salvador Davalos is currently employed at Komatsu North America working as an Assistant Reliability Engineer overseeing warranty and quality functions within their heavy machinery products. Prior experience was in the Automotive field as a Mechanical Claims Specialist at Ally within their warranty division whom administrated General Motors extended warranty in North America. In addition, he has accumulated 5 years of experience in management and training personnel in the Automotive parts industry. In 2016, he graduated from Southern Illinois University—Carbondale where he received his Bachelors in Automotive Technology and a minor in Marketing.


Patrick Murphy

EXTERNAL VICE PRESIDENT

Patrick Murphy is a graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale where he studied Political Science, Economics and Philosophy. Since joining Omega Delta’s Theta Chapter in Fall 2018 he has been an avid supporter of Greek Life, serving on SIU’s Interfraternity Council executive board, Fraternity & Sorority Life representative in the Undergraduate Student Government and President of Theta Chapter. For his contributions, he was recognized with Honorable Mention for the inaugural SIU System Distinguished Service Award in 2021. Patrick now works as a community organizer and political consultant in Southern Illinois, focusing on electing virtuous people to office and holding those in power accountable.


Luis Martinez

treasurer

Luis Martinez is a credit underwriter working with Wintrust Commercial Banking. His previous analytical experience was at William Blair and Company where Luis served as a rotational analyst. While in his rotation Luis grew a passion for managing investments, people, preserving wealth, and most importantly the numbers side of life. Luis served as a math tutor for three years at Northern Illinois University where he received his Finance degree in 2014.


Manuel Castaneda

director of risk management

Manny Castaneda is currently a Plant Manager at Orion Industries. Manny has served as quality manager for 6 years and developed quality systems for various industries including Biofuels, Aerospace, Cleanroom Uniforms, and Chemical Coating. Manny has visited over 50 manufacturers, auditing for Good Manufacturing Practices. Manny is a Certified Six Sigma Greenbelt and holds a B.S. in Biology and a Masters in Advanced Energy and Fuel Management from Southern Illinois University—Carbondale.


John Jacobson

director of marketing

John is an award-winning Art Director and Travel photographer. He has an extensive background in Advertising. His portfolio includes accounts such as: Bud Light, Boeing, PACCAR, and more. He currently travels the world shooting for music festivals, resorts, yacht companies, etc. He started his first company at 22 years old. He has an immense passion for design & travel. His philosophy in life is that, "your greatest obstacle is not accomplishing great things, but realizing that you have the potential to do them".


James Jacobson

DIRECTOR OF FUNdraising

James joined Omega Delta, Beta Chapter in the Fall of 2007. James has dedicated himself to the success of its undergraduate chapters, as well as encouraging the continued involvement of our esteemed Alumni. In his professional career, James has experience in institutional asset management having worked for River North, a private Hedge Fund specializing in closed-end funds and fintech, and JPMorgan Asset Management where he was a wholesaler for the Mountain West Region. He is also an entrepreneur, among other endeavors opened a Molly’s Cupcakes franchise in Naperville with his wife. James earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University in May, 2011.


Jeffrey Peralta

DIRECTOR OF BROTHERHOOD

Jeffrey Peralta is a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for five years. Jeffrey assists the Respiratory Therapy’s Clinical Educator for lectures in his department. He currently holds an Associates Degree in Applied Science concentrating in Respiratory Therapy from St. Augustine College. Later, he attended Northeastern Illinois University and received his Bachelor's Degree in Consumer Health in Spring of 2019. Jeffrey is passionate about community service, 5K runs, traveling, and mental health.
